1. What Seat Grab does
Seat Grab checks publicly available college course listings for sections you tell it to watch, and sends you a notification when the seat count changes. That's all it does.
2. What it does not do
- It does not register you for any course.
- It does not ask for your college credentials or log into a college system as you.
- It does not reserve, hold, or guarantee a seat.
Seat Grab reads college course listings as a data source — Vanier's public schedule and Dawson's authenticated course-seats listing — but you are responsible for registering yourself, within your college's rules and deadlines.
3. No affiliation
Seat Grab is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Vanier College, Dawson College, or Skytech Communications (Omnivox). All college and product names belong to their owners.
4. No guarantee
We check often, but we cannot promise that every seat will be detected, that every notification will arrive, or that it will arrive in time. Notification delivery depends on your browser, your device, and your operating system, none of which we control. Seats are frequently taken within seconds. The service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind.
5. Payment and refunds
The Semester Pass is a one-time $5 CAD charge covering the semester in which you buy it. There is no subscription and nothing auto-renews. If you want a refund, email support@seatgrab.com within 14 days of purchase with the email you used to pay. We refund unused or malfunctioning passes at our discretion.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use Seat Grab to resell access, to run automated registration, or to attempt to overload any college system. Don't share your account. We may suspend accounts that do.
7. Availability
This is a small project and may be interrupted, changed, or discontinued. If a college asks us to stop monitoring their listings, we will, and we'll refund any unused passes.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us. We are not liable for a course you didn't get into, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits rights you have under Quebec's Consumer Protection Act that cannot be waived.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec, Canada.
